FEMALE FOUNDER’S STORY
Founder Celia Ma was a gifted artist from the beginning. Her favorite thing as a child was creating and gifting artwork to her family and friends. But held back by a fear of becoming a “starving artist”, Celia made the difficult choice to not pursue art as a career, and instead spent time working in the professional realm. After a near-death accident in 2015 that left her recovering for a year, she realized that life was too short to be held back by doubts and excuses. Supercharged to surround herself with the people and practices that brought joy, Celia found that joy in leading painting parties and sharing the creative journey with others.
While Paint The Town started as a one woman show, it has grown into a team of passionate instructors across the U.S. that also now serve customers all over the world through virtual events. Celia's goal is to provide a safe space for taking creative leaps to help people express themselves through art.
